Using forms of Technology to make forms?

The products above are quite unique, and sharp in there design but infact there forms were determined my there names not the sketches of a designer or a 3D rendering in rhino but combining many new and existing forms of technology to create the form. The process actually seems quite simple record an individual saying the word "vase" input that sound into a digital visualizer (a program that creates a collection of line graphs) then collate the sounds together and you have a profile for your vase then simply revolve your profile around a line. Thats the design done to make the form just rapid prototye it and your done!
