Lovegroves opinions on form and the human response to form being instinctive is interesting as are his designs and ideas. He mentions that 3d renderings of objects are the seductor that sell your idea to a client and that the tooling is the background noise of industrial design. The most important comment he made was that we design to "elevate peoples respect for products" that statement is the purpose of design and the reason that emotion has anything to do with design. He mentioned biopolymers briefly and reffered to them as the material of a decade from now. His inspiration is nature as is his passion, this forms the basis of his philosophy on design and his practice throughout it.
